The Calla Lily
Ahhh...Calla Lilies aren't they beautiful? Native to South Africa and very easy to grow are commonly white but can be found in pretty colors as shown above. The white is used in weddings to signify purity of the union. The word Calla means beautiful, rebirth and union. Calla lilies are associated with Mother Mary and it symbolizes her purity and virginity. Again, it is seen on Easter to symbolize resurrection. These beautiful lilies are known to bloom in the Springtime!

Fabergé Eggs!
This is the first Imperial Easter Egg made by Peter Carl Fabergé for Czar Alexander III. The outer layer is enamelled giving it an effect of an eggshell and inside a removable matte yellow gold yolk. Inside the yolk is a golden hen and inside the hen is an egg pendant that can be worn.

Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2013
We are amazed by the beauty of this collection!
The story behind the beauty: Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana found inspiration in a centuries- old church. The show reflected Byzantine era mosaics from Sicily's Monreale Cathedral and numerous religious iconography. Dresses, tops and skirts featured the mosaics and religious iconography which were adorned by jewels. Crowns pulled together the looks to resemble a time almost forgotten when kings/queens lived decadently. To bring the looks into modern times, Filigree sunglasses completed the looks. Take a look at these gorgeous fabric swatches that were used to create the outfits featured in the show.

Even if you live in a city, you can still have your own patch of grass to play with this Easter. Use wheatgrass or another potted grass for indoor decorating. It’s a simple, modern look perfect for this spring holiday. Scatter some speckled candy easter eggs in the grass or hide chocolate bunnies for a festive look. Spring flowers are beautiful, but this centerpiece is a little unexpected and will last long after the holiday. Wheatgrass may be available at your local farmer’s market or from a florist (most can get it by special order if they don’t stock it). Health food stores, both large and small, usually carry wheatgrass. If you can’t find any in your area order some online and have it delivered right to your door.
